Day of the dead retreat.png
If you're someone who wants to honour your lineage, transform your relationship with grief and death, and connect with your ancestral gifts more than your ancestral trauma through ceremony, altar building, earth offerings, plant medicine, and somatic embodiment, then join us for this 4-day retreat where you’ll come away emanating love, spaciousness, and deeply reconnected to the power and wisdom within you and your lineage.

A sacred space to  honor our ancestry

Honoring our ancestry in this retreat means to acknowledge our lineage, to grieve the ones who have left this earth,  offer gratitude, express what hasn't been expressed and the freedom to release agreements that we made as part of our lineage that are keeping us stuck in a space of survival and fear.

Our ancestors didn't live for us to be a state of survival and fear , but the stories and inter-generational trauma passed on to us don't know that. This is where the power of ritual comes in to our subconscious to tell a different story where we can honour the lives of our ancestors and our sovereign life path can be embraced by their support.

Embracing the Portal

At the end of October in Mexico, a portal opens. For millennia, through culture, tradition and ritual, Mexicans have been honoring their deceased families , opening a portal for the worlds to meet.

We are inviting you to join, learning about this tradition, honour it and with a lot of reverence, make an offering to the ones that have walk before you. Flowers, candles, smoke, food, tears, laughter - all is welcome as we honor the ones that made it possible for us to be in the world.

What awaits you in this 4 day experience:

Day 1: Arrival/ Air

As you arrive at our jungle sanctuary, you’ll be welcomed with gentle offerings, warm nourishment, plant blessings, and the soft exhale that comes from arriving somewhere sacred. The first evening invites you to slow down, settle your nervous system, and drop into the land’s quiet rhythm. Through intentional ritual, you'll begin shedding the noise of the outside world and step into the temple of your own body and the sanctuary in the space. Together, we’ll open our ceremonial container, anchor our intentions, and build the altar  for our ancestors.

Working with the element of air we will share our words, our thoughts, our stories as we start weaving together connection and safety

The intention behind this gathering

Right now the collective, the earth and all that is happening globally is asking us to release what is no longer serving us and to return to the earth what has always belong to her. Life is asking you to remember that we are connected and that your grief is our grief, your pain is our pain and your gratitude is our gratitude.

This is the time where you remember that you are fully supported by the Elements and all the love of nature to release and honour everything and everyone that has brought you to this moment. And then, take your power back - not from a place of anger and fear, but from a place of deep understanding, forgiveness and safety.

In these 4 days together we will awaken to the magic that is always meant to be for you, your true heritage, releasing old agreements and writing new ones, not just as  story but as a somatic experience wired in the present moment.

Through the pure wildness of the jungle, you connect with your innate wildness. When you let the wildness of nature express through you, your service naturally will be more full, your relationships will be richer and your creative channel opens.

We won’t teach you to fix or change

yourself. We’ll invite you to feel, soften, and reclaim what’s already yours.

This experience is designed to restore your nervous system, awaken your inner fire, and remember the wellspring of wisdom inside you.

The sanctuary

Luna afuera.png

Usually story tales begin with: Once upon a time...

This is the meaning of Haliksai in Hopi.

Haliksai is a sanctuary in the jungle of Nayarit, built with the intention of being a place for healing and connection.

The beauty of the space was built in harmony with the local elements. The care and love put in every centimeter of this land, makes the perfect place for this retreat to unfold.

Haliksai offers a community kitchen, a yoga shala, two beautiful bungalows and two glamping tents where you get to breath with nature, co-regulate with her and ignite a deeper remembering of our ancestry that goes beyond any narrative or stories we tell ourselves.

Haliksai reminds us that our story matter AND we can always rewrite a new one... We just need to make peace with the old one to release it with gratitude.

This is an opportunity to connect with the earth, with each other and with ourselves and bring a new meaning to the word family.

Nura

Ceremonialist, embodiment guide, medicine journey faciltator

My path is rooted in devotion to the feminine wisdom of the body, and the land. I create spaces for soul remembrance, and the return of beauty, truth, and soul to everyday life.

In 2013, I began a pilgrimage with one burning question:  What else is possible in this life? That question carried me across remote wildernesses, sacred sites, ancient cultures, and into the elemental presence of the Earth herself. What unfolded was not only a world-wide journey, but a profound remembering of my spiritual gifts, ancestral inheritance, and the way I am meant to serve.

My work is deeply informed by the healing traditions of my Lebanese lineage, passed down through my parents - herbal medicine, energetic cleansing, dream interpretation, and the ancient art of reading symbols in the grounds of morning coffee. It has also been shaped by more than a decade of apprenticeship across Earth-honoring traditions, plant medicine paths, and embodied spiritual practice.

Death and grief have been of my greatest teachers, and allowing myself to be molded by grief has been the greatest pathway I know yet to becoming more shamelessly human and embodying this life on earth with grace.

I am a lifelong student of sound, movement, mysticism, and ritual, guided by the quiet intelligence of the Earth and the timeless rhythms of the feminine.

I offer a grounded space to reconnect with the magic within your lineage, honour your ancestors, and be held with warmth, presence, and deep care.

Mar

Psychedelic Facilitator, end of life doula

I was born in Mexico City and have lived in San Pancho for the past ten years, where the jungle, ocean, and community have deeply shaped my way of living, loving, and listening.

For the last eight years, I have accompanied people through some of life's most meaningful thresholds: grief, recovery, transformation, and the ongoing process of remembering who they are.

My path has been shaped by personal evolution, years of therapeutic and ceremonial work, and the teachings of sacred allies such as Kambo, 5-MeO-DMT, and Cannabis. Through these experiences, I have witnessed again and again that remembrance  becomes possible when we meet ourselves with honesty, compassion, and presence.

Grief and death have been some of my greatest teachers. They have invited me into a deeper relationship with life, revealing the preciousness of each moment and the resilience of the human heart. It is this reverence for both life and loss that inspires me to offer this work.

My approach is trauma-informed, heart-centered, and grounded in creating spaces where people feel safe enough to soften, express, and reconnect with themselves. I weave together therapeutic presence, ritual, breath, movement, and deep listening to support meaningful and embodied transformation.

I do not walk as an expert with answers. I walk as a fellow human being who has known both darkness and light, and who believes that grief can become a doorway to love, gratitude, and a more authentic relationship with life.

Together

friends, sisters, weavers

Nura and Mar's friendship began as neighbours and slowly grew into a relationship rooted in trust, mutual support, and a shared devotion to meaningful service.

Over the years, they discovered many common threads between their paths, but perhaps the most important is their commitment to creating spaces where people feel safe, seen, and genuinely welcomed.

Together they have co-created retreats, ceremonies, workshops, and community gatherings. Their collaboration is grounded in authenticity, care, and a deep respect for the uniqueness of every person's journey.

What participants often experience in their spaces is a sense of connection, belonging, and the simple joy that emerges when we gather with intention and open hearts.

We look forward to honouring the ancestors with you

If you have felt the call for grief to be a doorway to love instead of fear, this is for you.

You don't have to arrive with the answers. You don't have to be "ready." You only have to be willing to meet yourself with honesty, and allow yourself to be held in a space where nothing needs to be forced.

For four days, we will slow down enough to listen to the language of the heart, uncover your ancestral gifts, and allow the space for your sovereignty to guide your life.

If your heart recognizes this invitation, we would be honoured to welcome you.
