What is Aftercare?
Aftercare and integration are important steps after an Ibogaine treatment in order to solidify the work and effort put into an Ibogaine journey.
Our goal in accompanying clients through this transformative process is to be clear, present, and compassionate witnesses for anything that comes up, and to give each client the time, space, tools, and safety that are necessary to reflect on their experiences.
Surrounded by nature and all that it gives to us, we create an individualized program for each client, based on their specific desires and needs. With 24/7 care, you will have the opportunity to build on and expound upon the experiences and lessons from your journey. This time after medicine is sacred, and many gifts can be found when we slow down enough to watch the magic unfold.
Some activities include:
-
Meditation
-
Temazcal (Sweatlodge)
-
Breathwork
-
Yoga
-
Jungle walks
-
Beach adventures
-
Body work
-
Massage
-
Acupuncture
-
Art therapy
-
Medicine journeys
-
Workshops
Working at your pace and with your interests and needs in mind, these modalities will be included to create the foundation and building blocks of your program.
If you have something in mind that isn’t on the list, let us know!

Why is Aftercare So Important?
Aftercare is a critical step in the healing process, especially for those overcoming behavioral or substance addictions.
Overall, people who choose to commit to aftercare have a 75% success rate one year after an Ibogaine treatment, compared to a 40% success rate without aftercare.
This is because aftercare allows clients time after medicine to integrate, and show up in the world, without the behavior or substance, and away from familiar surroundings and triggers.
Aftercare provides a safe environment -a landing place- centered around returning to wholeness in body, mind, and spirit.
The activities in the program are specifically and carefully chosen for each client and their needs.
Many times in ceremony we gain sacred knowledge, and aftercare gives us a safe place to learn how to embody this knowledge, in order to make lasting helpful changes in the ways that we interact with the world.
The space
Haliksai is a sanctuary located in the jungles of las Lomas, Nayarit. minutes away from San Pancho. Is an intimate space where participants can rest and focus in their own process without the distractions of artificial light or noise from town, The loving energy of the jungle is translated through the architecture of the space and the humans that tend to it. Haliksai is a place that nourishes the soul, the mind and the body, giving our nervous system the opportunity to attune to nature.

Meet the Team

Aftercare Director
Ashleigh
I have been working in the ibogaine world for about 5 years. I work in preparation, facilitation, aftercare, and integration. I came to my journey with Ibogaine, asking this beautiful teacher for help with ptsd and addiction. After witnessing my own transformation, I knew the rest of my life would be in service to ibogaine and the people who, like me, sought its guidance.
Along with a formal education in psychology, my school of thought derives from teachers such as Gabor Mate, Alan Watts, Tara Brach, and Ram Dass- utilizing a non-dualistic, compassionate, and connection-based approach to recovery from addiction and trauma. To me, accompanying people through this process is the greatest privilege. Let’s walk each other home for a while.

Founder of True Nature
Mar
For the past eight years, I've been walking beside others through some of the most tender thresholds of life: grief, rebirth, recovery, and deep self-remembrance. My path has been carved by personal transformation and the teachings of sacred plant and spirit medicines. I’ve witnessed that healing becomes possible when we meet ourselves with reverence, patience, and presence.
In my spaces, I offer trauma-informed, heart-centered containers that are rooted in therapeutic practice and ceremonial care. I’m devoted to creating environments where the body can feel safe enough to soften, express, and remember how good it feels to be alive. I don’t walk as an expert. I walk as someone who has touched the dark and stayed long enough to find the light again. I believe we can only hold others as deeply as we’ve held ourselves and that’s where the true magic begins.

Integration Support
Nura
I have been serving others on their healing paths for the last ten years and began my own personal healing journey twelve years ago, when the desire for inner peace became stronger than the pain and depression I was living with. Since then I have actively studied and apprenticed with folk healers and teachers around the world and from the greatest teachers of all: the earth & body.
Although I have an abundant toolbox of skills, healing modalities and experience, I want to make it clear that I am not here to heal you. My role here is to create a space of safety and presence where healing can occur organically. I walk beside each person in remembrance of their true nature, offering grounded support through the integration process so that what is awakened in ceremony can take root in everyday life.
